We’re loving the Petromax Fire Barbecue Grill tg3 for its versatility and its compactness.

It’s an oven and grill all in one and works really well with your Dutch Ovens for those of you who can’t live without them.
For its first trial run we decided to use the grill section and here’s what we discovered.

The great thing about the Petromax Fire Barbecue Grill is that it’s pre-treated so all you have to do is clean the grill with hot water before using it for the first time.

You can either start your charcoal under the charcoal grate and wait for them to redden or prepare them in a chimney starter and add when they are sufficiently hot. Always keep the draft door open.

The Petromax Fire Barbecue Grill retains heat really well so start off with fewer briquettes that you would use usually and add as you go, if required. You can do this really easily through the flip-down door if you need to.

Once you place the grilling grate on the charcoal it heats up pretty quickly. When grilling you close the air supply control and flip-down door should be close. If you need to add more charcoal you can do so with tongs.

This dish took less than 20mins on a preheated grill. We marinated the loin pork chops in a BBQ sauce for a few hours before grilling them. The dish is really simple, just chuck everything on the grill turning when necessary, and serve with a dollop of apple sauce and a side of new potatoes.
