Pat is a Director of Kelly Kettle and is the great grandson of Padraig Kelly who invented the world famous Kelly Kettle (which is another item that we always have always packed in the back of our vehicles).
Keldrun wellies are also the brainchild of Pat, in partnership with Andy Duncan. Both Pat and Andy are outdoor enthusiasts with very keen Interests in shooting and fishing and not your average fishermen either, the lads met while representing Ireland in an international fishing competition and have been friends ever since.
Pat explained that through their similar interests and passion for the great outdoors and time spent in the field they both came to realise that what they wanted and required in a boot was simply not available on the market. They then both set about developing a boot that could stand up to the rigours of the countryside, could be worn all day in comfort; be capable of handling the heaviest briar and scrub in the field and be purchased at a competitive price.
And now with the Keldun wellie finally developed after two years of testing, I think they just might have achieved all of their goals.
